Thirteen Reasons I'm A Dog Person Dogs love me unconditionally. Dogs comfort me after a long day. Dogs are wonderful companions, no matter what or who else is around or not around. It's like have a kid who doesn't grow up.* They eat crumbs off the floor. They greet me with enthusiasm, even if I've only been gone 5 minutes. My dogs are couch potatoes, like me. They know I'm wonderful. ;) They depend on me for everything.* They can be guard dogs if they want to be. I don't have to pretend to be someone else because they love me for who I am. They cheer me up when I'm down. Dogs make me laugh. *Of course, some would say these reasons are reasons NOT to own a dog. :)
